SWRK 344: Community Analysis Assignment: Quantitative Data

The American Community Survey (ACS) is the premier source of detailed information about the nation's people and housing. As an ongoing survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau since 2005, the ACS collects detailed social, economic, housing, and demographic information from a sample of households across the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is the state's principal economic development agency. DEED programs promote business recruitment, expansion, and retention; international trade; workforce development; and community development.

Extensive amount of data in one location. May not be as reliable other sources. Private company that has gathered information from common sources such as Census data, public records, etc., but some is from individual sources so may not be as reliable.
