OneSearch is a one-stop shop for searching library resources and is similar to Google being a one-stop shop for searching the Internet. OneSearch searches both the online library catalog (e.g., books) and most of the library the databases (e.g., articles) simultaneously.

Use OneSearch and Request!
1. Search OneSearch
2. If you can't find the book you are looking for, use the dropdown menu to extend your search to "All MnPALS Libraries."
3. Click the title of the book you want to request. Under "Request Item," click on the link to log in using your Star ID and password.
4. Once you've logged in, click "Place an ILL Request."
5. A filled-in form will pop up. Click "Submit," and your request is sent!
You will receive an automated email notification when the item you requested is ready for you to pick up at the SMSU Library Circulation Desk.*
*If your Library record indicates that you are a "document delivery" patron, the book or other item will be sent to you via U.S. postal mail.
