You may have to rely on county-level data, personal contact with the community, and/or a combination of those sources to complete your assessment. The sources listed in this research guide are meant as starting points. Each source will not work for everyone, and some sources may cover more than one aspect of your assessment.
Some statistics are collected regularly, some only occasionally. In general, expect a lag time of at least one year before most statistics are published. You may also find some gaps and discrepancies between sources. Use your judgement and cite your sources.
