Like a lot of the other technology on campus, you will need your StarID and password to use SMSU Library resources from off campus.
Ignore what you see on various pages about using a "barcode:" we are still working on getting everything updated! :-)
For more information about activating and using your StarID, click on this link.
Your password will be the same password you use with your StarID to get into campus email, etc.
Still have questions or running into problems? You can reach us via chat, email, phone, or text!
Right now, StarIDs are not working as SMSU Library log-ins for College Now instructors. If you try using your StarID to access one of the library's databases, you will receive a message saying that you need to be an "affiliated user" of the library in order to continue.
If you want to access databases, please contact Circulation Supervisor Josh Thoreson (firstname.lastname@example.org), and he will assign you a log-in and password.
We apologize for the inconvenience!
Anywhere on the Library web site you see the following icon (it looks like a lock), you will need to log in with your StarID. This is our way of knowing you are an SMSU student and should be accessing the resource. We pay big bucks for some of the databases, and our licensing requirements only allow our students, faculty, and staff to access them.
