College Now & the SMSU Library: Logging In

When will I need to log in?

You will need to log in with your StarID and password to:

  • request books be mailed or articles emailed to you

  • read full-text articles and e-books from home

  • check on the status of your book and article delivery requests

  • renew books

How to Log In

Like a lot of the other technology on campus, you will need your StarID and password to use SMSU Library resources from off campus.

For more information about activating and using your StarID, click on this link.

Your password will be the same password you use with your StarID to get into campus email, etc.

Having difficult with your StarID?  Please contact the Technology Resource Center (TRC) for assistance.

The full-screen option is available using the arrows in the lower right-hand corner.

Authentication Icon

Anywhere on the Library web site you see the following icon (it looks like a lock), you will need to log in with your StarID. This is our way of knowing you are an SMSU student and should be accessing the resource. We pay big bucks for some of the databases, and our licensing requirements only allow our students, faculty, and staff to access them.
