McFarland Library has Life in print from Nov 1936-May 2000, when the magazine ceased it's weekly publication. The print version is a great resource not only for the high quality photojournalism, but also for the light entertainment pieces, theatre and movie reviews, and advertisements that illustrate life and lifestyles of the time.
This historical newspaper (1851-current) provides the user with first-hand accounts and unparalleled coverage of the politics, society and events of the time. Current two months are available in paper format; all previous issues are on microfilm. This link takes you to the online version, covering the years 1851-2014.
